Congratulations to Our Newest Grantees

In May, CME Group Foundation awarded a number of grants in Computer Science and Kindergarten Readiness.

The Computer Science grantees are leading work that is focused on equity of access to Computer Science programming, with a focus on low-income communities and access for students who identify as girls, Black, and/or Latinx. The grant funding will support both in-school and out-of-school time opportunities for students. For the past two years, CME Group Foundation has had an emphasis on middle school computer science so students have access to high quality programming to prepare them for advanced placement credit in high school. The Kindergarten Readiness portfolio is focused on developing strong pathways from PreK to Kindergarten, which includes support for school leaders and teachers to ensure high quality teaching and learning in preschool classrooms, advocacy for policy and funding equity for early childhood education, and parent resources and empowerment opportunities.
