CME Group Foundation Names Eva Giglio as Executive Director

CHICAGO, September 7, 2020 – CME Group Foundation today announced the appointment of Eva Giglio as its Executive Director. In this role, Giglio will work closely with the Foundation’s Board of Directors to support transformative education projects that promote measurable impact across Chicago and Illinois. Giglio succeeds Kassie Davis, who recently announced her upcoming retirement.

Her deep experience in education closely aligns the CME Group Foundation primary area of focus. Giglio most recently served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of Chicago Public Schools (CPS), where she led the district’s strategic vision and improvement planning, with a focus on creating more equitable outcomes for students. In this role, she also co-led the Mayor’s Pre-K through 12 Reopening Schools Task Force during the pandemic. Prior to that, Giglio served as Director in the Chief Education Office of CPS, where she was responsible for creating systems to better support schools and engage critical stakeholders. Giglio began her career as a middle and high school Spanish teacher at Kenwood Academy in Chicago.

Giglio has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from North Park University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a fellow of the Leadership Greater Chicago class of 2021.
